Behind the things I make

A little peek at the creation processes, the ideas and inspiration

I must have drawn an insane amount of faces throughout my lifetime. But I found drawing them as frustrating as I found them fascinating. The end-result was never quite what I had in mind. When working with clay however, my hands can feel the surfaces and the proportions in 3D and that sensory feedback is incredibly useful. Clay is a fantastic medium, it is so very forgiving, you can take away or add volume almost endlessly.

Every Dreamer begins as a lump of clay in my hands and a feeling of gentle excitement. Features slowly emerge until a harmonious whole takes shape—until I feel right about it. Best described as a soft pressing feeling expanding in the middle of my chest that signals to me 'mission accomplished'.  Then I know the Dreamer has arrived. Sometimes my hands cannot keep up with a vision; and I get almost panicky because I am afraid that I will loose it. Other times, the faces keep changing until something finally feels right. Music is a big key here, it opens me up to a flow state and it supports the intuitive understanding of what I am working towards. For example, I remember very well that I was mostly  listening to Mont Duamel's Sunshine album while I was making the Deep Dreamer.

Talisman jewellery: anchoring and reinforcing intent with ancient little messengers

The jewellery pieces I like to create are pretty, little reminders of our intentions and visions, they are little sacred, silent messengers. A temporary tattoo of your favourite persons name, or a quote you thought was genius, or a beautiful memory. I make jewellery with the intent to carry the energy we would like to experience more of in our lives.

Most gemstones in this world have been here for over millions or even billions of years! And after all that time, this little piece of matter is just hanging pretty from your earlobe... that is something miraculous isn't it? Hard to really wrap your head around, I find.

But somehow most of us have an intuitive reverence for these ancient minerals. Ever since I was little, I have always been looking at the ground a lot, you never know when you might stumble upon a little treasure from the earth! Crystals and gemstones fill me with great joy, simply through their colors, various structures and sheer beauty.

I'd be glad to make a custom made pair of earrings, necklace or bracelet for you, based on your wishes, preferences and purposes. Just drop me a message.

Sounds and songs

Sound is incredibly powerful and at the same time completely intangible. Music is the continuous process of emerging and fading away— individual notes as well as a complete composition contain the processes of nature and life itself.

All music evokes at least some kind of emotion in people. In the best possible form it tells the perfect story of life's unfathomable depth and beauty. This magical world is always irresistible to me. I have always had the need to play music, create music, listen or dance to it. Music informed many of the creations that came to life through my hands.  Music moves and transforms energy structures, you can feel it.  It points out personal fields of resistance, it can shake your soul. It can relax and loosen you up. When it truly resonates, it can reorganise and replenish your system. What a gift.
